Stop the Killing or They'll Stop the Dribbling!

So another White cop shot another Black man and it's time to riot.  And loot and burn and destroy and pillage and plunder.

As I'd warned in a recent posting, this sort of Marxist and facistic activity won't stop until somebody stops it.  Minneapolis' Mayor Jacob Frey could have stopped all of this before it even started by simply standing in front of his wall of cops on the night of March 29th and telling the gathering mob, "No!"  "No," they cannot burn down his 3rd Precinct Police Headquarters!  "No" they cannot riot, and loot, and burn!  Had he done that, this would have all been over before it started.

Remember a year ago when miscreants in New York City were throwing bottles of water at cops?  And when De Blasio kept his police from retaliating?  And how that's grown into full-fledged burning and looting and rioting?  Yeah, like that...

But Frey didn't do that.  He ordered his cops to stand down and abandoned his 3rd Precinct building.  He ordered his cops - against their will - to turn tail and run.  And we see what's happened since.  The "Antifa" and "BLM" "protesters," which we call anarchists, burned down the 3rd Precinct building.  At a $100 Million Dollar loss to the taxpayers.  And it's been followed by nearly 100 straight days of rioting throughout "blue" city America.  

The center of Portland is a war zone.  So is much of Seattle, and New York City, and Chicago, and Kansas City, and Baltimore, and Atlanta, and Minneapolis, and so many more old, "blue," Democrat-run American cities.  And since all this rioting and looting and burning and vandalism and destruction is occurring in Democrat-run cities and states, and, due to our Federalist sort of society, our POTUS cannot * do anything about it until he's invited in (Posse Comitatus Act of 1878), we normal folks are reduced to watching this carnage from afar, waaaaay afar, thanking God that we chose to live somewhere other than Portland.  

Anywhere else.

Yet, the Mayor of Portland is blaming his city's problems on President Trump.  He's saying it's all due to Trump's divisiveness.  Yeah, well...  It could also be due to Climate Change.  Or perhaps the occupants of UFO's.  But what's it's not due is to Trump, or anyone else besides this feckless bozo of a scared little man, clenching his buttcheeks, and hoping it will all go away...

And still every few days somebody Black gets killed by a White cop and whoever's behind all of this carnage will lose their lunch.  They'll go on a tear.  They'll riot and loot and burn and plunder.  And now, with a new turn, professional athletes, presumably bored from sitting around with no basketballs to dunk, have inserted themselves into the act.  They've decided that this killing of Black men needs to be met with some high-level athletic action.  Else-wise, they've decided to deprive us of their exalted performances.  Sort of like, if somebody in authority can't prevent some extraneous somebody somewhere from shooting a Black guy, somewhere, well then, they just won't play!  They'll take their basketballs and go home!  

Just such an event happened last weekend.  Seems like a cop shot a Black guy from Kenosha.  Turns out the cops were after a young, Black felon named Jacob Blake.  And they found him.  He was wanted for raping a 15 year-old.  He was placed under - and then resisted - arrest, put a cop into a choke hold, had to be tasered twice, reached for a weapon and was shot 7 times.  And our professional athletes rewarded his exalted memory by refusing to play in the following sporting events:

        -  NBA - 9 games canceled.

     -  MLB - 11 games canceled.

     -  WNBA - 6 games canceled.

     -  NHL - 4 games canceled.

     -  MLS - 5 games canceled.

     -  NFL -  9 Practices postponed 

I wonder if these overpaid, undereducated athletes are aware of how much money they cost their teams' owners?  You know, the people who pay them?  Or the folks that set up and clean the stadia?  Or the folks who sell peanuts and soft drinks?  Or park cars?  Or the nearby restaurants and hotels that their decisions rendered empty.  $Tens of Millions of Dollars were taken from the pockets of ordinary folks, many no doubt Black, due to the pique of these overblown babies, these shortness-challenged pukes.  

Questions:  How many people actually noticed these little "protests?"  And how many cared?  And what percentage of our population have now decided that this was the very last straw and that they'll never darken a sports stadium again?  Be warned, pro athletes, NBA viewership is already down more than 25% this year alone.  And it's now guaranteed to fall a lot farther...  

I don't know long this pandemic will go on, but I do know that the longer it does, and the more games our sports "stars" choose to arbitrarily withhold from us, the "little people,"  the less we'll care about them or the cute little kids' game they play, ever again...
