Taking a Knee...

So one Colin Kaepernick decided to take a knee during the playing of the National Anthem a few years back.  

He stated he was protesting American racism and mistreatment of Black people.  And his chosen way to do that, he said, was to kneel just before football games when the Star Spangled Banner was playing and our American Flag was flying.  And the TV cameras were catching Every. Single. Infuriating. second of it.  

Although that appears to be a strange way to shine light on such a subject, it turns out he started a movement.  And this movement resulted in first a few, and then dozens of multi-millionaire Black pro football players joining him in faulting America for its many sins by taking a knee during the Anthem, while all the world was watching.  Sort of like, let me call out all your warts and wrinkles while you were expecting a sporting event.  And then pro soccer players joined in.  And then Olympic athletes.

And, of course, entitled, narcissistic, dimbulb, vacuous, Hollywood celebrities followed right behind...  

They were protesting America for having mistreated them.  I guess.  Poor mistreated $Millionaire athletes.

I've been wondering when my "white privilege" will mistreat me with some of those $Millions...   

First the NFL stated that kneeling when the Anthem played was not acceptable.  After all, I might add, it had penalized Christian star athlete and activist Tim Tebow a few years back when he kneeled to thank God in prayer after a particularly good play.  And it penalized the Dallas Cowboys for attempting to wear a decal on their cleats honoring five dead Dallas cops.  It's a sport, folks!  So using the Anthem, or any other aspect of pro football to promote your particular political persuasion was not okay with the NFL.  

Until it is...  

Now it seems that all Kaepernick needed to get his kneeling approved by the NFL was to have a few thousand Black people, and some social justice warrior Whites, burn down some buildings and throw some bricks and loot some stores and kill some cops and take over the downtown of a major American city and threaten to kill some folks and...voila!, kneeling now A-Okay!  

Truly, Kaepernick had found a thread to pull and the NFL's sweater started to unravel.  Quickly.

Pro football viewership began to drop immediately.  Some reports showed a 15% drop.  Others had it even worse.  Americans do not like to see their Flag insulted (DUH!), and will not support efforts to diss our National Anthem.  And that's true especially when done by rich, self-important, entitled athletes who've never paid a price for their freedoms.

Of course, anti-Americans are just fine with anti-American activities.  We see proof of that every day.  And quite often lately, it seems, from our very own House of Representatives.

So I have a solution:  Simply stop playing the National Anthem before professional sporting events.  No Anthem, no potential kneeling.  No kneeling, no problem.  Got it?  If the athletes want to protest something or other, I suggest they do so in the locker room just before they come out to play.  Or, perhaps do so outside their various stadia in the parking lot.  Or, at a church or synagogue or mosque nearby.  Or, maybe in CNN's or MSNBC's TV studios (it would save them the cost of having to send a remote broadcasting team to record the toxic insults to America).  Anywhere but during the playing of the Anthem while our Flag proudly waves. 

Are these people aware that Americans fought and died for the Country that the Flag and Anthem represents?  And if they are, do they give a damn? 

If it were a little kid with a knife, we'd remove the knife from the kid's hands before he could hurt himself.  And with professional football players, many of whom are proving to be dumber than a bag of rocks, it seems all we have to do is just remove the TV cameras and the live TV audience and they'll stop acting up.  These athletes are apparently so desperate to show how upset they are with America's "institutional" and "systemic" racism, racism that enabled them to get free educations and earn $Millions and drive exotic cars and attract trophy wives and live in yuuuuuge mansions, they have to do so in front of God and everybody.  

Let's just remove their means of doing so.  

They surely wouldn't complain, right?  Or if they did, they'd only be complaining about their lack of access to America on live TV while they're doing it.  And that's the entire story: 

Showing America their ass

in the most public of ways.

And so I, one ordinary American, choose to avoid such public displays of stupidity.  I'll focus instead on positive, uplifting, patriotic endeavors, designed to show how proud I am to be an American.  Like, taking my guns out to the range to practice strategic bullet placement, a necessary skill for when those Antifa revolutionaries decide to bring their little "protests" to those of us who just want to be left alone.  

And I'll be doing that at the exact same moment the NFL is hosting their little pity parties...

Update From Clown Central...

You'll be interested to learn that the California State Assembly, which I charitably call "Clown Central," with no disrespect meant toward clowns, of any type, kind or gender, has just voted to pay reparations to its Black residents for "slavery."

Yes, fellow Pilgrims, this measure, passed by a 61 - 12 margin, now goes on to the State Senate for review and approval, and then on to our Boy Governor for his likely signature.  Boy Guv will sign anything if it gets him favorable press...

BTW, the 61 - 12 vote should let you know just how much of a stranglehold the Democrats have on the Taxifornia's legislative process.  Stated simply, they can pass any law, anytime they want to...and they do.  To the shock and chagrin or ordinary citizens everywhere.

Anyway, the thing which makes this decision completely ludicrous, and will cause enormous fallout once it's signed into law, is that when California voted to join the Union in 1850, it did so as a state where slavery was illegal!  Got that?  California was not a slave state!  Thus, we did not treat our Black residents as slaves then, nor do we owe them any special consideration now.

So, lemme' sum up here, fellow Pilgrims:  Slavery, bad.  Freedom, good.  California was not a slave state.  Ergo, we cannot owe our Black citizens any reparations for slavery because we didn't subject them to slavery.  Got it?  I knew that you would...

So why, one could reasonably ask, would the Democrat supermajority in the California Legislature vote to give our citizens' tax money to Black people which they - we - do not owe?  And the reason -  pay attention here boys and girls -  is that they believe down deep in their progressive little hearts that paying off Black people - a callous bribe - will cause them to vote Democrat.    

And right in the middle of all of this one Robert Johnson, Founder and CEO of Black Entertainment Television (where can I find White Entertainment Television, again?), has suggested, no, more or less demanded, that we Americans pay our African-Americans reparations in the amount of...are you ready for it?...$13,700,000,000,000.  That's, ummmm, $14 Trillion Dollars.  That's roughly 3/4 of our annual Gross Domestic Product.

For purposes of comparison, $14 Trillion Dollars in one dollar bills, placed end to end, would take a long, long time.  

Now we know that there are approximately 328,236,000 citizens here in America (plus who knows how many illegals!), and we know that 71.1% of them are White, and we know that 13.2% of them are Black, so you do the math; I have no idea how to figure out how much each would receive.  But at 13% of our population of 328 million citizens, that's about 42 million Black people.  And if you divide 13.7 Trillion by 42 Million, you get, ummm, quite a lot.  A WHOLE lot!  Enough to make it worth your while to be Black, doncha' think?  

I wonder if Black people are so shallow, so uninformed, so ignorant of both history and the facts, that they'd be willing to trade their votes for a few dollars?  I'd also be interested in learning how many (more) taxpaying folks might bolt this once-Golden State if they do.  And I'd be interested in learning your opinion on that.  Please write back if you have something you'd care to share.  

But in the meantime, I'm kind of secretly rooting for this measure to become law.  Kind of.  That's right, fellow Pilgrims, if it has to pass, I'll be all for this it.  And that's because I identify as Black!  And the Democrats are always anxious to tell us that "identifying" as something or other, like say the other sex, is just fine.  A-Okay.  That's why a guy can compete against girls in athletic events by simply stating that he's "trans."  That means he's "identifying" as a girl.  Oh yeah, and I always "identify" as a proud member of the LGBTQMDAZBOEU (and any other capital letter)  community.  So much so that as one who identifies as both Black and gay, if that might get me a few extra bucks, go ahead and pass this bit of liberal lunacy.  If there's any taxpayers left here to pay this tax, a tax on being White, I'm sure they'll be pleased to send me a check...

Oh yeah, on the way out the digital door, I'm throwing a little party at The Fort tomorrow evening.  The "Black Entertainment Awards" is on TV and we have to watch it so we can find out how to act.  And I'll be following it with a private screening of "Blazing Saddles" for our viewing enjoyment.

What's that sound we hear?  It's the roll-up door on U-Haul trailers slamming shut as they prepare to head east on the I-10...

Hyphenated- Americans...

I hate African-American.

No, I didn't say I hated "African-Americans," the race.  I said I hate "African-Americans-ss," the term.  

As a matter of fat, I hate it so much that I'm "triggered" by it.  It hurts my feelings!  I'm insulted by it!  It demeans me!  In fact, I'm...  

...OFFENDED!

And because I'm offended, I fully expect a bunch of woke folks to start protesting, and burning, and looting, and rioting, and tearing down statues!  Annnd, I fully expect them to give me, give me, the Endowed Chair in Caucasian Studies at Howard University.  And if they do not, it's because of reverse...

...RACISM!

And that's because I do not believe that our "African-American" citizens need, nor deserve, nor should want, two words to describe their race, nor do they need or deserve a hyphen.  Are they so very special, or needy, that they require a two-word descriptor, annnnd a hyphen to describe themselves?  Nooooo!  And I don't believe that "American Indians" need two words, either.  And why don't they have a hyphen?  Are "American Indians" less human or special than "African-Americans?"  Are "African-Americans" less human than simple, everyday, ordinary "Americans?"  

Who decided all of this?  And when?  I'm betting it was a bunch of crusty old-school Democrats, and maybe a few of the remaining KKK members, in a back room somewhere, looking to salvage some vestige of power after having voted 100% against both the 14th and the 15th Amendments, which were approved, and lost the "Civil Rights Voting Act." 

Remember, the Democrats not only filibustered this landmark bill, they all voted against it in lock-step!  The Republicans, BTW, voted unanimously for it.  So who are the racists here?  

I am Irish.  I don't get two words to describe my race, nor do I have a hyphen.  Nor do the Germans, or the Swedes, or the Ukrainians.  Or the Jews, or the English, or the Russians.  There are no "Irish-Americans."  There are just "Irish."  And "Americans."  So why is that?  Are we not equal to "African-Americans?"  If so, shouldn't we be issued another word and a hyphen?  Are we being discriminated against?  

I'd say so!

In fact, do we not now need some of that "affirmative action" the "African-Americans" enjoyed so very much?  Which the California Legislature is poised to now give them again?*  Presuming, I guess, that they need them?  Do they think they need them? 

Or have we chosen to proclaim the "African-Americans" as such because they're so very special, or so very (un)special?  Sort of like the same reason we've chosen to call kids with developmental problems, "special needs?"  

In short, it's an insult.  To both them, and to us.  So much so that I need one of those "crying spaces" they supply in our colleges and universities.  One of those "free speech abatement zones" would be nice as well.  Pluuuus, I think it's high time we start removing statues of those who make me feel "less safe."  Let's start with statues of Booker T. Washington.  And Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.  And Abraham Lincoln.  Oh wait, they're already removing that one...

Until or unless the "Uniform International Commission on Selection of Racial Descriptors and Hyphenation Issuance" chooses to honor me with another word and/or a hyphen, I have a suggestion:  Why not simply call "African-Americans" just "Americans?"  Just like we call the Irish and the Germans and English and the Moldovians by a single descriptor, can we call the "African-Americans" just plain old "Americans," please? 

I think they've earned that by now...   

Seems to me that would tend to make us all just...ready for it?...Americans!  And therefore, equal!  And what, I'd like to ask, is wrong with that?  Oh yeah, what's wrong is that proclaiming equality for all the races, right now, without further delay, would rob our Democrat partisans of what they believe to be a valuable narrative and talking point they intend to use in the upcoming Election Season.  Which, by the way, is all you really need to know about this subject. 

P.S.  Just kidding.  I don't really need the crying space...

*  Through a Bill called "ACA-5," and subject to our Boy Guv's signature, the CA Legislature just voted to give "African-Americans" affirmative action once again.  Thank God I identify as an "African-American."  I could use the extra money...

There are Two Kinds of People:

Yes, fellow Pilgrims, there are two kinds of people.

There are people who divide people into two kinds...and then there's the other kind.

That's a joke.  Heh, heh...

All seriousness aside, there are really two kinds of people in Atlanta, and New York City, and Portland, and Seattle, and Kansas City, and Baltimore, and Miami, and dozens of other American cities: those with guns, and those without.

And I'm betting that those with guns are feeling quite a bit more secure this morning than are those without.  Seriously, those who chose to stand in line at the local gun store and purchase firearms over the past several months are to be applauded.  And congratulated!  They contributed to several months of record firearm sales.  In fact, gun sales in each of the past several months are up as much as 85% over the same period a year ago!  In fact, guns are now being sold at the rate of almost 100,000 per day!  And those gun owners are now able to protect themselves and their families...just when it's appearing the police in so many different American cities...cannot.  Or will not.  Or are too frightened to do so.  

Or their commie pinko dumbass liberal weenie mayors won't let them (Seattle, Portland, New York City, Atlanta, Baltimore, do you hear me?).

And interestingly, it seems the residents of these great old cities swamped their gun stores over the past few weeks as the Chinese Killer Coronavirus swept the land.  Plain and simple.  If you wanted a gun, you bought one.  If you didn't, you didn't.  That's called freedom of choice.  The Democrats are all for that, right?  Freedom of choice?  They're "pro choice," right?  At least, that's what they tell us.  They wouldn't be duplicitous, now would they?

And that pretty well describes the 100+ Million Americans who own firearms.  Some 435 Million of them by now.*  That means that almost a third of all our citizens have decided to arm themselves, as guaranteed by the 2nd Amendment to the Constitution of the United States of America. 

And I might mention that this Right has been (re)affirmed by the Supreme Court via their decisions in "Chicago v. McDonald," 2008, and "Washington, D.C. v. Heller," 2010.  You might want to check them out so you know just how ingrained into the fabric of our society firearm ownership has always been.  

So this should be pretty simple, as I said before.  Even states which have great difficulty understanding the plain English as written into the 27 words of the 2nd Amendment, like CA and NY and MD, understand that you and I have an absolute, irrevocable, individual Right to "keep and bear arms."  And there's not a damn thing they can do about it.  Although, God bless their black hearts, they sure as Hell try... 

Yes, I know it pisses off the liberal commie pinko pantywaist weenies who are dead-set on disarming us.  To them I say, tough nuggies!  Like I said, freedom of choice! 

Maybe if we put gun stores across the street from Planned Parenthood clinics?  Or even inside the clinics?

However, now that anarchy has overtaken the land, and at least one new nation has been formed through violent overthrow right in the midst of our Great Country, thanks to the indelible, Technicolor fecklessness of Seattle's leadership, it just might prove necessary for those of us who are now armed to have to protect ourselves, and perhaps others.

Take a look at Chicago this past weekend.  More than 100 shot and 14 murdered.  Using guns.  In a City where guns are almost impossible to obtain.  Legally.  And the cops are nowhere to be found.  Nowhere!  And we can't blame them, for if they were to intervene, they just might be arrested, charged, tried, found guilty and incarcerated.  Truly, this is a no-win situation for the police, which leaves us, the citizenry, in charge of our own safety and security.  Like it's truly always been.

Life's like that.  It comes at you fast.  Some are prepared for it.  Some aren't.  Are you? 

Given that a third of our population owns guns, here's a question you might want to ponder if you're a Bad Guy and intend to do Americans harm:  

If only 5% of the ducks were

Do "Red Lives Matter?"

How about Yellow ones?

I'm guessing that you've now heard the phrase "Black Lives Matter" several hundred times.  At least.  Maybe several thousand.  And whether you are moved by this message, bowel or otherwise, you're probably fairly sick of hearing it.  

I know I am.

When I first heard this phrase a few years back I thought it was pithy and succinct.  And I agreed with the basic concept.  Call attention to an age-old problem and offer up solutions to resolving it.  Black lives DO matter, just as do White lives, and Red lives, and Yellow lives, and all the various shades of lives in between.  And so I express my sympathies in this regard by saying, "All Lives Matter."

But wait now!  That's not good enough for the BLM folks.  They say that saying "All Lives Matter" is an insult to those spewing "Black Lives Matter."  They say it makes the person saying that "out of touch" and "tone deaf."  Whatever that means.  They say, in fact, that those who prefer to say "All Lives Matter" are enemies of the "movement" and must be eradicated.  Along with all police forces everywhere.  And the nuclear family.  

Jeesh!  That's kind of harsh, don't you think?  

Once again, our speech is being squelched.  Muzzled!  We're now expected, required to use the speech they find acceptable.  No debate, no discussion.  However, there are those of us who rebel at this intrusion into our freedom.  And there are those of us who will not abide it.  Including me.  

Remember "illegal alien?"  Yeah, that phrase is in the Constitution of the United States.  For that's what those who choose to come here illegally are called.  They're illegal, because they're here illegally, and they're an alien, having not been born here.  Got it?  Yet, now we're told that we must, MUST refer to them as "undocumented immigrants."  Or even "undocumented workers."  Or even, "future citizens."  Get it?  They cannot debate us on the merits, so they wish to silence us, to muzzle us.  And to a great extent, they have.  

So I ask, do "Red Lives Matter?"  Is it time to maybe throw a bone to our American Indians (or, Indigenous Personages, if you prefer) and see how they're doing these days?  Maybe we should shine a light on these folks and their plight in life, knowing full well that they could use some help from those of us who are far better off.  And that includes most Black people, by the way.  I mean, we ran them off their land, rendered their buffalo nearly extinct, killed them with abandon, infected them with smallpox, disarmed them, forced them into reservations, made them subservient, turned them into alcoholics, and pretty much ruined their lives.  You think Black people got a bad deal?  You should take a hard look at how we screwed the Red Man.  

So, I ask again, do "Red Lives Matter," or is that whole BLM movement nothing but a masquerade for a political movement designed to overthrow America and replace it with a Marxist utopia?  Well let's take a look...

The people who started "Black Lives Matter" say it is!  In an interview on CNN's "The Lead" on this past Friday, BLM's co-founder Patrisse Cullers, proudly stated that, "We are trained Marxists.  We are super versed on ideological theories."  Our goals are, she said, to:

     -  a), defund the police;

     -  b), dismantle captitalism;

     -  c), destroy the patriarchy; 

     -  d), break down/eliminate the nuclear family;

     -  e)  eradicate Israel;

     -  d)  support unfettered abortion; 

     -  and, f), redistribute America's wealth via reparations.  

Their goal is to bring chaos where there is order, fan the flames of class warfare, and demonize Christians and conservatives.

It's not often that your enemies are nice enough to publicly - and proudly - tell us that they intend to hurt us, to destroy us, our families and our property.  

BTW, I won't even ask if "Yellow Lives Matter."  They've managed quite well to acclimate and insinuate themselves into the fabric of our society, and need no help, thank you.  They study their asses off and work their asses off and are therefore successful.  Imagine!  Working hard makes one successful!  They're so "with it," as a matter of fact, most of the premier colleges and universities won't give them any admission assistance at all.  But those nice "Red" folks could use a hand up instead of a hand out.  

Hey Black folks, could you lend a hand to our "Red" brothers and sisters?  Hey "Black Lives Matter," do you have a little spare time between rioting and looting and burning and tearing down America to help out another minority group?  No?  Or are you just an angry bunch of anarchists who get off on destroying what somebody else built?   

For those of you who blindly supported "Black Lives Matter" because you thought it was a good thing to do, maybe you ought to study up a bit on this cancerous blight on our society and reconsider...

I Know How to Cure "Systemic" Racism...

We're being told on a daily basis that America is a racist country.  We're being told that we have "systemic" racism.  And "institutional" racism."  That sounds pretty bad, doesn't it?  

Well, fellow Pilgrims, if that's true, I have a rather timely question:  Why didn't either Barry Obama or Joe Biden fix it?  They had 8 years to do so, why didn't they fix it?  

Just think of it:  Obama spent several days (only) as an Illinois senator before running for, and winning, 8 years-worth of POTUS-hood.  And Biden was a senator for more than 33 years before becoming Obama's V.P.  Which gave him another 8 years to "fix" what he laughingly calls "systematic" racism (close...no cigar).  

Plusssss, Obama/Biden had a veto-proof majority for over two years, owning the House, the Senate and the Presidency.  They could have put forth, and passed, any law they wanted.  So why, I ask again, if there is a racism problem here in America, which is belied by the very fact we chose as a country to elect Obama, a (half)Black man, and then elect him again, then why didn't either he or his sidekick Biden "fix" it? 

One can assume that there's only one of three possible answers to this all-important question:  

     -  Either (a), they knew about our so-called "systemic" and "institutional" racism and chose not to do anything about it; 

     -  or (b), they knew about it but decided they simply couldn't do anything about it, thus exposing their legislative inabilities and total fecklessness; 

     -  or (c), it simply does not exist.

I'll leave it up to my fearless band of faithful readers to decide which of the above is correct.  For me?  I believe I have the answer to this supposed problem.  In fact, I believe I know how to cure this supposed "systemic" racism problem.  And here it is...

Wait for November 4th.  The General Election will then be over and the Democrats and Marxists and Antifa-ists and Black Lives Matter-ists and race hustlers and poverty pimps and protesters and rioters and looters and arsonists and anarchists will pack up and put this whole scam away and not bring it up again until it's time to vote two years from now...

The Woke Folk Have Spoke...

Well folks, while you were "sheltering in place," waiting for that nasty Chinese Wuhan Killer Coronavirus to leave you and your neighborhood alone, it seems we've had a revolution.

Yes, a real-time, all-day, all-night, burn 'em down revolution.  So much so that the TV show "Cops" has been permanently cancelled.  It was due to premier its 33rd season a couple of weeks back, but no way Jose (with no derogatory implications for either Jose or any other member of the Hispanic race, or any other race for that matter, either foreign or domestic, here on Earth or on any other planet...not to exclude other galaxies, or their planets).  

It seems that watching "Cops" can harm you in some way or other.  Or cause you to want to, ummm, do or think something or other that might be, ummm, anti-social.  Orrrrrr, it might make you think that cops are pretty good folks and almost always do a very tough job very well.  Or something...

Can't have that, now can we?

But that's not even the biggest story!  The hit show "LivePD," the Number One show on all of cable TV, has just been cancelled!  And after all, this IS the cancel culture, right?  

So somehow or other watching cops on "LivePD" catch bad guys is bad.  Watching Black cops catch Black guys is bad.  Watching Black cops catch White guys is bad.  Watching White cops catch Black guys is bad.  Watching White cops catch White guys is bad.  For that's what's been happening on this TV show for the past three years.  Cops catching bad guys.  All day, all night.  And now I guess cops catching bad guys is...dare we say it?  RACIST!

But wait, there's more!  Looney Tunes has just relieved Porky Pig of his rifle.  He's been disarmed by a guy with a pen (proving once again that the pen is mightier than the sword!).  He can no longer hunt that "wascawwy wabbit."  I hear they're going to issue him a scythe.  A scythe!  He's going to hunt down a rabbit using an implement better suited to harvesting grain!  But hey, that's what Social Justice Warriors do deep in the bowels of some Hollywood studio:  they smoke a doobie and then come up with some inane dumbass stupid ridiculous answer to a question nobody's been asking.

It gets even better!  Now the pantywaist snowflake pukes at HBOMax have pulled "Gone With The Wind" from their streaming service. This, perhaps the greatest motion picture ever made, has been taken down from this channel's lineup because, ummmm, well, ummm, just because.  I'm told they might bring it back at some later time, but only with a group discussion trailer explaining to the prospective viewer that he/she/it is a racist for wanting to watch it.  And that he/she/it has their "white privilege" on display.  And that he/she/it should feel "shame" for having enslaved these people.  Even though they had nothing to do with enslaving anyone.  I mean, hello!  All they want to do is watch an award-winning movie, for God's sake!  Oscar Winner Hattie McDaniel, the very first "woman of color" (that means she's Black) to win a statue, will now be unavailable for anyone to see.  Isn't that...dare we say it?...RACISM!  Too bad. 

BTW, the Number One selling movie on Amazon right now is "Gone With The Wind."  Ordinary folks just trying to get in front of the mob, I'd say...

And it would be a shame to fail to mention famed NFL quarterback Drew Brees' recent kerfuffle.  He had the temerity to say that we should all stand and show our respect to the Flag when our National Anthem is played.  Imagine!  Being proud of your country is now so yesterday's news!  He was excoriated on social media by Black football players.  To think, Brees wants us to be patriotic Americans!  Hell no, sayeth the "protesters."  He had to walk  back his statement not once, not twice, not three times, but four separate, gut-wrenching times!  And he may not be through apologizing yet!  Poor ol' Drew!  Even though this guy has given more than $5 Million of his own money to local charities, he obviously never learned that bullies are never, ever satisfied with any room you give them.  They'll always want more.  And then more again.

Appeasement begets aggression.  Always.

BTW, I'll never watch the Saints again, or the NFL.  As a patriotic American, and Flag-loving veteran, I say screw them all.  But hey, that's just me. 

And just in case you thought it wouldn't happen, famous tax cheat Rev. Al Sharpton delivered the eulogy at one of the very many funerals for George Floyd, during which he called upon the NFL to give poor ol' Colin Kaepernick his job back.  Hmmm.  Using a funeral to demand a private corporation give a has-been, multi-millionaire, whimpering socialist boil-on-the-butt of humanity his job back.  Alfonso Sharpton as a career counselor.  I do believe this is a first...

And then there's one I never even imagined we'd see.  A Black Oklahoma State star running back happened to see a photo of his coach Mike Gundy on a fishing trip, wearing an "OAN" t-shirt.  "OAN," if you don't know, happens to stand for "One America News."  It's a small San Diego news outlet that leans conservative.  One of the very, very few that does so.  But this full-ride, free education football player was so triggered by this open display of...the freedom of expression, that he stated he would not play any more OKU unless his coach apologized.  Which his wimpy, woosie, social justice warrior coach just did.  He said, and I quote, "I'm sorry for the pain and discomfort I've caused."  I hope you lose every future football game, Mr. Bundy.  You're a coward, and by being one, you invite such future rabid displays as a result.    

But not to be missed on my way out the digital door, "protesters" in Richmond, VA this week decided to take out their ire on a statue of Christopher Columbus.  They started by pulling it down, then spray painted it, then set it on fire, and then threw it in a nearby lake.  Couldn't they have blown it up, too?  Yup, good ol' Chris must have done something racist to these "protesters."  Must have pissed them off reeeeel good, I'm thinking!  Can't imagine what, but hey, they wouldn't have beat up an innocent statue, would they?

I wonder what's next?  What will be adjudged "racist" next week, or next month?  What statue will need to be torn down?  What movie or book will need to be censored?  Or banned entirely?  What building will need to be burned?  What uptown shop will need to be looted?  And what society will forever be harmed inevitably and incalculably and incurably because of the antics of these "protesters?" 

I believe it's time we all reread George Orwell's book "1984" right about now... 

Just remember, when the Taliban conquered Afghanistan, the very first thing they did was collect all the books and CDs and DVDs.  They collected them in piles and ran over them with D-9 Cat tractors.  They then poured bottle after bottle of seized alcohol on the pile and set them all on fire.  And then they took mortar shells and destroyed several ancient nearby 4,000 year-old monuments.  Does any of this now seem remotely familiar?  I guess that's next.  Destroying ancient monuments.  

Oh wait.  they're doing that now!  

And it gets even better.  The BLM gang are now demanding the removal of the Washington and Jefferson Monuments.  Perhaps they'll stop accepting American money because it displays portraits of dead White presidents.  Unless they steal it, of course.  As the saying goes,

One Man's Opinion...

Each generation in America's rich history has been called upon to pay a price for the freedoms that we hold so very dear.

Each generation starting with the one that breathed life into this Great Country has been called upon to pick up arms and defend those self-same freedoms in wars fought both foreign and domestic, throughout our more than 240 year history.  More than 200 of them, actually.

The Civil War shaped a generation.  It actually cost us nearly a generation of our young men, as more than 670,000 Americans, both North and South, lost their lives.  That's the War, if you'll recall, where the North suffered enormous casualties in an attempt to defeat the institution of slavery.  The same North that was under the command of Abraham Lincoln, a Republican.

The First World War formed the centerpiece of another generation.  Our young men and women joined forces to defeat the Axis Powers, costing us a hundred of thousand more, leaving an indelible imprint on yet another generation.

The First was followed shortly by the Second World War, which consumed the entire Earth.  Our young people were called upon to pick up arms and fight both Germany and Japan, else we'd lose our vaunted freedoms forever.  Once again, we emerged victorious.  And we once again lost hundreds of thousands of our finest young people.

The Korean Conflict followed, as did the Viet Nam, ummm, "Unpleasantness," each forming the foundation upon which those generations based their core beliefs on what it means to be an American, and why we must fight so very hard to defend it.  And we did.  More died defending our vaunted freedoms.

But then something happened.  Conscription of draftees ended in 1973.  Before that, when we needed soldiers and sailors and Marines we just drafted them.  After 1973, we began relying on those who joined a new "professional" military.  No more would the young from all over the fruited plain be called upon to defend America.  And its freedoms.  

Some said this was an improvement.  And in many ways, it was...and is.  The average I.Q. of our current soldiers and sailors is higher, quite a bit higher, than it was prior to the end of conscription.  And the level of education is also higher.  More than half of all soldiers now have a college education.  The end of the draft actually became the beginning of a professional military corps.  Congratulations.

However, as with most things, there's another side to this issue.  No longer would we be drafting kids from the inner cities.  From Detroit, and Baltimore, and Chicago, and Jackson, Mississsisssisisiippi.  And we'd no longer be drafting kids from Chevy Chase, and Nob Hill.  The upper crust, so to speak.  When I was drafted the Army looked like America; Black, White, Red, Yellow and every shade in between.  And they came from the poorest areas of America, and the richest.  And thus they forced a coming-together of America's youth, from which they'd then be dispersed out to the hinterlands to spread the experiences they'd had while serving.

I can tell you there were no "Blacks" and "Whites" when I was in the Army.  And thus, there was no "racism."  There was only the guy with a rifle who might save you on the right, and the guy with a rifle who might help save you on the left.  We were all the same.  We were all scared.  We feared death.  We knew that the only way we'd get out of that horrific experience was to rely on one another.  And we did.  All of us.  Thank God.

Less than 1% of our citizens have now served in the military.  Or in any mode of service whatsoever, including the Peace Corps, for that matter.  Now that the draft has ended less than 1% have served.  And that means that our citizens now have no "muscle memory" of what it means to pick up a weapon and fight for our freedoms.  My generation fought for those freedoms.  We valued them.  We valued the Flag which represented them.  We fought for the National Anthem that reverberated within us to our core.  We had to.  We needed to!  We may not have loved our Country when we went in, but we sure as Hell loved it by the time we got out.  And that's the reason I'm so firm in my belief in the Flag, and so dedicated to defending and preserving it.  

And that's the reason I'm so angered by those who choose to disrespect both it and the men and women who've died to protect it.  I'm angered by those who burn it.  And stomp on it.  And choose to "kneel" when our National Anthem is played prior to a sporting event.  And why so many of my fellow veterans are as well.       

Now?  Our  "millinellliaeal" generation has never fought for its freedoms.  They've never even suffered a hangnail for their freedoms.  And thus, they do not value them.  And they do not, as a class, value America, the Country that offers them.  That's being proven on the streets of America each and every day now.  Unfortunately.  In fact, it seems they blame America for whatever they want but do not yet have.  Add to that the student loans they've taken out for a degree in Medieval Lesbian Poetry, which qualifies them to do nothing but ask, "Would you like fries with that?"  And that's why, in my opinion, we're now watching young, White milllennelleials, alongside their Black co-conspirators, bashing cop car windows, and torching police stations, and looting jewelry stores.  And taking over blocks and blocks of a downtown American city, as if they'd launched a military coup.  Which, it appears, they have...

I personally do not care whether a Colin Kaepernick chooses to kneel when the National Anthem is played, or if any of the other members of the NFL do either.  That's their choice.  We fought for them to make such a choice.  It's an inconsiderate, insolent, short-sighted, foolish, unpleasant, unnecessary, incendiary, unpatriotic and anti-American choice, but it's theirs to make.

The NFL has now chosen to officially support what I consider to be anti-American displays.  And just like they have the right to choose how their players should act, I have now chosen to never again watch an NFL contest as a result.  Or any other sport or organization that chooses to support, in my opinion, anti-American activities.  And I believe I'll be joined in that choice by millions of other "silent majority" Americans who value this Great Country and the symbols for which it stands.   

I believe the NFL will pay an awful price for their appeasement.  For appeasement begets aggression.  Which we're all now witnessing...

It's been said that you can tell a lot about a man by where he stands on an issue.  Or, in this case, where he kneels...

"You Let a Camel Get His Nose Under the Tent..."

The so-called "MainStreamMedia" has been telling you there's an epidemic of Blacks being killed by White cops.  They call it "systemic racism."  Joe Biden calls it "systematic racism."  But of course he does...

Lost Angeles' dimbulb mayor Garcetti says, "Systemic racism is racism built into systems."  Hmmmmmm...

They're lying, and beclowning themselves.  Again.  That's what they do.

The facts:*

     -  There were 1,004 fatal police shootings all across America last year.

     -  In the overwhelming majority of cases, the individual shot by the police was armed.

     -  Of those, 371 of the deceased where White, and 236 were Black.

     -  There were only 10 cases in which an unarmed Black man was shot by an officer.

     -  In most of those cases, the officers were physically attacked.

     -  Two officers were prosecuted.

     -  In 2018 more than 7,400 Black Americans were murdered on the streets.  That means for every unarmed Black person shot to death by a police officer, more than 700 were murdered by someone else.  And that "someone else" is almost always Black.

     -  And finally, there's been a 60% reduction in police shootings between 2015 and 2019.*  

And, oh yeah, there were 90 people shot in Chicago over the Memorial Day weekend, and 18 of them were killed.  That was the very highest rate of carnage in Chicago in more than 60 years.  They were all Black.  It is believed that those who shot them were all Black.  Where is the outrage?  Where are the protests?  I guess only Blacks killed by White cops qualifies for outrage these days...  

Does this sound like there's a epidemic of White cops shooting innocent Black men?  

Yet, the "Black Lives Matter" movement has inserted itself right smack into the middle of this entire situation.  In fact, one could reasonably state that the BLM movement actually caused this situation.  A few rogue cops kill a Black guy...and immediately we must burn down America, and then loot all its stores, and defund and eliminate the police.  In other words, nearly 800,000 American cops are being judged for the actions of a very few.  Does that sound fair?

It does if you're a Marxist revolutionary bent upon carnage and disruption.  It does if you're pissed at the current system and you're dead-set on tearing it down.   

Annnnd, in order to put things right, and make up for centuries of injustice, the BLM folks have a screaming need to be elevated into a position of superiority in order to achieve equality.  In other words, you can't say "All Lives Matter" any more, because somehow that's "racist."  Somehow that demeans their entire effort.  Saying that "All Lives Matter" means you're "tone deaf," or so they say.  You must say "Black Lives Matter."  Only.  Because, ummm, you just must.  Because they say so.  Because they have weaponized the dictionary.  

Superiority, get it?  

Doubt me?  They're forcing their sycophants to bow down to them.  To apologize for their "White privilege."  To kiss their feet!  There's even a piece today on cops washing the feet of BLM leaders.  Washing the feet!  Do they think they're Jesus?  Or the Pope?  Or do the Social Justice Warriors on their knees believe that they are?  

The (Black) mayor of the District of Columbia just showed Trump her ass by having her minions paint "Black Lives Matter" in bright yellow on the streets of a plaza right next to the White House in letters large enough to be viewed from the International Space Station.  Boy, that oughta' show him!  Even the entire Democrat Black Caucus (is there a Democrat White Caucus?) kneeled on the floor of the Capitol Building this week for 8+ minutes, begging for absolution from our Black friends.  It was painful to watch.  It was also painful upon the knees, as San Fran Nan Pelosi had to be helped to her feet.  These same "leaders" excoriated Trump for holding a photo op at St. John's Church.  And then they proceeded to hold a photo op in the Capitol Building.  

The pandering was so obviously on steroids that everyone knew it...and seemingly no one cared.  And now the BLM website states that their singular goal is to defund our police, nationwide, and eliminate them.  Entirely.

Jeeeesh!  

So here's my take on this whole thing.  The biggest American cities are all run by Democrats.  So much so that you couldn't find a Republican anywhere nearby.  Minnneeeappallus, as an example, hasn't had a Republican mayor in more than 60 years!  And many of these same cities are dependent on their Black citizens for their continued reelection.  And so they pander to that "identity group" in any way they can.  And until those folks finally understand they're being played like a violin, this will not stop.

600 New York City cops have already indicated their intent to file for early retirement.  1,400 Lost Angeles City cops have done the same.  Consider that there are currently less than 9,000 L.A. cops, and as many as 20% are out on sick leave, and you get an idea how immediately losing 15% of them could impact street policing.   

Until then, I know that I'll be keeping my guns cleaned and my powder dry.  And so will another 100+ Million other gun-owning Americans who will not be abused by a small group of Marxist revolutionaries.  Think Dodge City in the old west.  No law, but lots and lots of armed militias beholden only to those willing to pay.  And those least able to pay are the ones the Democrats and the MSMedia and BLM are planning to abandon; to make targets.    

You'd better fix this problem, America, or lose it.  Famous 18th century French philosopher Alexis DeToqueville once opined that America could never be defeated from without.  Only from within.  It appears that effort is sincerely underway by those who hate America and want it destroyed.  Do something.  Our liberty is teetering on the edge...  

NEWS FLASH:  Marxist revolutionaries have taken over 7 blocks in downtown Seattle, Washington.  They have declared themselves to be sovereign, and have begun barricading their new "country."  An abandoned police station is their new headquarters.  They have declared a new nation within our nation.  And the police, at the Mayor's orders, are nowhere to be found.

NEWS FLASH!  The Minnneeappullus City Counsel just voted to defund and eliminate its police department!  So has NYC's "Mayor" Warren Wilhelm, Jr. (better known as Bill De Blasio).  Another 4 major Democrat cities are preparing to do the same, and who knows how many others will follow?  It seems that these cities are blaming America's 800,000 police officers for the actions of a very few.  

But that brings up a question.  How long will it be before all our cops quit and leave America defenseless?  How long will it be before all or most of our nearly 800,000 police officers decide that they've grown weary of being humiliated, shamed, mistreated, underfunded, abused, debased, ignored, underpaid, lied about and blamed?  And how long will it be before you won't be able to pay them enough to take the crap that's being shoveled?  

I'd say that those early in their careers will bale, and those toward the end will immediately retire.  This will leave the Force decimated, hollowed out, with perhaps less than half the current numbers.  With the remainder less well trained and managed.  And that should please the BLM folks just fine!
