CCW = Enhanced Safety

It was reported yesterday that Florida has just surpassed 1,000,000 legal concealed carry weapons permits.  That's a 30% increase over the preceding year.

That means that one in every 20 Floridians is now packing heat.  And, as I like to say, if only 5% of the ducks were armed, do you think anyone would go duck hunting?

It was reported in the same AP news release that major crime in Florida is down 30% from the year earlier.

Do you think one statistic has anything to do with the other?
